I have really enjoyed this project this semester and really feel like it’s
pushed my boundaries in both my Photoshop skills and writing.
I came across a number of problems along the way, the first being a mind
block when trying to explain the reasoning to choosing a thyme and explaining
my inspiration. I had a vision in my head and I hope though face charts and
mood boards it is clear enough. I now know I really need to explain my
decisions in future a lot more clearly. The second was my second shoot, which
became a third shoot a day before deadline. I am my biggest critic and I wish I
had invested more time and possibly a photographer to help me. Finally I am
really struggling and still am as I write this with trying to write a piece
that goes with my photos. Prior to my deadline I had a one to one where I had
rough written a piece on my choice of products to help dry skin and my preferred
products to achieve clear looking skin. One of which is my product shot. Unfortunately
with the advice it wouldn’t be suitable. So for this issue I wish I had more
time to just brainstorm again.
All in all I am reasonably happy with my work, it’s given me the basic
understanding of editorial beauty and cant wait to broaden my knowledge.

new shoot outcome, am i happy?
So today I am one day from submission, and I have redone the original Sand Dunes photos. Iv used a new model purely because I was short on time and the orginal model was busy and I am using more gold in the eyebrows to illesrate more definition and texture.
Am I happy with this? NO! just a big fat no. I cant quite put my finger on my problem with both photo shoots. The quality of photos with the first shoot is obvisely not great and the second although the makeup was more defined it went off course.
Having done this tho I have gone back though my orginal shoot and have narrowed done a few I do appreciate and and edited them hopfully I can come to a dission soon.

I wont lie, I hated the outcome if this shoot! I had a nightmare with the camera and it all felt rushed. These are the unedited photos.
I am going to redo the shot as I know that i produce something beautiful and just.
I am a little sad that I am having to redo this so late in the game.

my explanation for my resurch
I want my work to not be obvious to the viewer. I want it to conjure up feeling and thoughs that allow the audience to make their own assumption on the work that I will creat.
The greats like Alexandra McQueen and van gough are prime examples of artists creating a foundation of inspiration for the viewer to build on.
I hope that my work does just this as I feel I lose the power of my work by having to explane my reasoning.
